Kansas City Local Announcements
April 1, 2017
WEDDING ANNOUNCEMENT:
Brandon Damon and Kelsey Johnson were united in marriage on Sunday, March 19th, by Kansas City Pastor Rand Millich. Please welcome the couple, who returned earlier this week from their honeymoon in Colorado.
FOOD PANTRY UPDATE:
Dave and Jan Ostrom send thanks to everyone who has contributed to our local food pantry. It is now well-stocked, so we don’t need any more donations at this time. There were several items in the inventory that had either reached or exceeded their Use-By. They are located in a box by the bread table in the west hallway, so please help yourself if you can use these items.
DELS MEETING:
A reminder to our deacons, elders, and leaders that the DELS planning meeting is this evening at John & Paula Wells’ residence, 2329 NE Lake Breeze Lane, Lees Summit, MO 64086. Please arrive between 6:30 and 7:00 PM, with the meeting starting at 7:00. If you need travel directions, please see John or Paula after services, or later call John’s cell 816-729-8990.
SUMMER CAMP SPONSORSHIPS:
There is opportunity for two partial scholarships to summer camp for local Kansas City brethren. If a pre-teen or teen is interested in attending an LYP camp this summer, and needs some financial assistance to go, please see Gary Jones after services.
YES LESSON:
The next Y.E.S. Lesson will be covering Lesson 6 on April 15th, immediately after services. While there will not be a specific class covering the Spring Holy Days, parents are encouraged to print-off the Special Spring Holy Day Lesson and go over it with your children to help them understand the meaning of the upcoming Holy Days on their level.
TEEN ACTIVITY:
Teens and parents, please mark your calendars for a teen activity on Saturday evening, April 29th. More details to come soon.
FOT NOTEBOOK:
The Feast of Tabernacles white notebook on the information table contains basic write-ups of the U.S. Feast sites. These, as well as wells as International site write-ups, are also available on-line at fot2017.lcg.org. If you don’t have on-line access, or are unable to print, and would like a print-out of a site, please see Mr. George Damon. Also, please see Mr. Damon if you need assistance registering for the Feast.

With the Passover and two holy days during April, there will NOT be a Bible Study in April.
