Local Announcements April 14, 2018

PRAYER REQUEST:
Suzanne Johnson was admitted to Mosaic Health Hospital in St. Joseph, MO, last Sunday morning (April 8th) for her respiratory condition.  As of this past Thursday, she is still at Mosaic Health, waiting to see a pulmonologist for evaluation and results.  She says she is doing better and looking forward to going home soon.  Suzanne’s room number is 2122 and her room phone is 816-271-7222.  She has been very thankful for all of your prayers on her behalf!

FEAST REGISTRATION:
As indicated in the World Ahead Weekly Update, registration for the Feast of Tabernacles begins tomorrow, Sunday, April 15th, at 11:00 AM CDT (for Kansas City and others in the Central time zone).  For those who do not have Internet service, if you haven’t already done so, please notify today our local Festival Advisor, Mr. George Damon, of your desired Feast site and your PIN (Personal Identification Number), so he can register for you; his cell phone is 913-200-8662, and email is gdamon@kc.rr.com.

PIONEER CLUB & TEEN ACTIVITY:
The Pioneer Club & Teen Activity will be held tomorrow, Sunday, April 15th, at Pink Hill Park in Blue Springs, Missouri.  The Pioneer Club will meet at 10:00 AM at Shelter #1, followed by a hike at Burr Oaks Park (right next to Pink Hill Park).  The Teen Activity will begin at 12:00 noon with a “bring your own picnic lunch,” followed by Ultimate Frisbee for the whole family, as well as for the Pioneer Club kids & family.  NOTE that we are opening this up to young adults who would like to join the fun for the Ultimate Frisbee portion of the activities.  We have Shelter #1 at Pink Hill Park reserved from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  Address & travel directions:

SABBATH VOLUNTEER DRIVERS:
If anyone is willing and able to help with transporting church members to & from Sabbath services here in the Kansas City area, please sign up at the Information Table.   Your service to these members will greatly be appreciated!  We have several members who do not drive any longer or don’t have a car to get to services, and would love a ride to & from if possible.   For more information, please see Mr. Millich or Mr. Jacques.

SPOKESMAN CLUB LADIES NIGHT MEETING:
For the final Combined Spokesman/Graduate Club of the season, we will be having a Ladies Night Dinner Meeting next Saturday evening, April 21st, at the Duck Club Activity Center, Raintree Lake, 111 SW Cole Younger Drive, Lee’s Summit, MO 64082; phone 816-537-7576.  Please arrive by 5:30 PM to find your seats.  The catered dinner will be served at 6:00 PM, followed by Sabbath-appropriate Table Topics, then dessert.  Speeches will begin at about sunset.  Each Club member is to bring dessert and/or wine (or another cold drink) as agreed in the March meeting.  For Club members needing to verify their speaking assignment, go on-line to kclcg.org then click the Resource Center tab, or see the Club Secretary, Mr. Grant Manning.
