Local Announcements Dec 16, 2017

MICHAEL ROEVER UPDATE:

This update from Mr. Michael Roever:  I want to express my appreciation to everyone for their prayers to our Father related to my gall-bladder surgery this past Monday.  God truly has shown me great mercy.  God definitely guided and blessed what turned out to be a much more complicated surgery than was expected.  Nevertheless, the surgery was successful, went home the same day, then Tuesday at home before going back to work on Wednesday.  I am recovering quite quickly.  Thank you everyone for your love and care.  Your brother in Christ, Michael Roever.

ASSISTANCE FOR BOB HARDEN:

As you may recall, Mr. Bob Harden has been recovering from a broken leg, but the process is slow.  His legs and bodily strength are not what they used to be, making if difficult to get in and out of his car, and to manipulate his folding wheelchair.  Although his son, Joe Harden, helps him on many occasions, Joe is not always available.  Therefore, if any of you brethren could occasionally help Mr. Harden, he would be very appreciative, such as on the Sabbath, once during the week for grocery shopping, and during the KC Family Weekend.  Please call Mr. Bob Harden at (816) 254-8739, or see him after services, to offer assistance.

VISITS & ASSISTANCE FOR JIM HUTCHINS:

Thanks to you brethren, whether you signed-up or not, who have provided food and have taken the time for weekday visits to Jim Hutchins.  Please continue to do so as you are able.  Mr. Jeff Sallaz has offerred to drop off at the Hutchins’ home any cold or frozen dishes brought to Sabbath services.  If you are personally dropping off food or visiting the Hutchins’ home, please call Jim at (816) 482-1734 before-hand so he will know to expect you.
