Teens & their families – Bible Study & Dinner, Friday evening, December 20th, at the home of Taylor & Margie Jones, with dinner starting at 6:00 PM, consisting of chili-cheese hot dogs. Please bring a drink & side dish or dessert to share. See you all there!
PIONEER CLUB RACE – DEC 22; WORKSHOP – TONIGHT:
It’s the annual Pinewood Derby Race on Sunday, December 22nd – Dads and Sons, get your engines started! Remember to stick to the rules that have been given. Dad’s are expected to help a bit, but the main car construction should be completed by the boys. Same as last year, with trophies for the winners in the different categories. “NO Graphite” till given instructions prior to the race as we want to keep the hangar floor clean. Mr. Gooding has offered a workshop to help any who need some help with getting started on their pinewood cars. He will have this workshop open TONIGHT, Saturday, Dec 7th, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the hangar located at 1071 NW Lou Holland Dr, Hanger 11, Kansas City, MO 64116 (Dustin Gooding’s cell 816-433-7175). KANSAS CITY DECEMBER DINNER/DANCE SOCIAL – DEC 28:
Kansas City is planning a Dinner/Dance Social for December 28th at the Gladstone Community Center, 6901 N Holmes St, Gladstone, MO 64118. Sabbath services will begin one-half hour earlier than normal, at 12:30 PM (doors open to brethren at 11:30 AM). The Sabbath will consist of streaming of live services from Charlotte at 12:30 PM local time, followed by a catered dinner & family dance. Olive Garden will cater the meal, with pricing per person at $8 with a max of $40 per family of 5 or more. Dinner will consist of your choice of: Spaghetti or Fettuccine, Alfredo or Marinara sauce, Grilled Chicken or Beef Meatballs, Salad, and Breadsticks. Drinks (tea, water, coffee) will be provided. Dance will be Sabbath attire. Those who are coming from out-of-town will need to make housing arrangements on their own.
