PRAYER REQUEST – LARRY BROWN’S DAUGHTER:

Mr. & Mrs. Larry Brown would like to request prayers for their daughter, Katie Rader.  She is suffering from constant pain from an unknown source.  Unspecified auto-immune deficiency is what they are diagnosing her condition at this time.  The Browns greatly appreciate your ongoing prayers.

 

PRAYER REQUEST – LEMLY MORGAN

Mr. Lemly Morgan would like to request prayers on his behalf, as doctors have recently found a small mass on his throat and are planning to run tests to determine if it is cancer.  Please keep him in your prayers since he visits Mrs. Morgan (Virginia) every day at the nursing home, and does not want to miss those visits due to her memory issues.

 

SPOKESMAN & GRAD CLUBS – TONIGHT (FEB 1):

The Spokesman & Grad Clubs will meet TONIGHT, February 1st, at the home of John & Paula Wells, 2329 NE Lake Breeze Lane, Lee’s Summit MO 64086 (John’s cell is 816-729-8990 in case you are delayed in arriving on time).  Doors open at 6:00 PM; Club starts at 6:30 PM.  Please find Club assignments posted on the KCLCG.org website under the Resource Center tab.  As a reminder, the “Three-T’s” (Topics, Toast, & Timer) for each Club are to bring snacks & drinks for the break.

 

BIBLE STUDY – FEBRUARY 5:

Our monthly Bible Study will be this coming Wednesday, February 5th, at the Roger T. Sermon Community Center, 201 N. Dodgion Street, Independence, MO 64050 (SE corner of Truman & Noland roads) in the 4nd Floor meeting room.  Doors will open at least by 7:00 PM, with Bible Study starting at 7:30 PM.

 

JOPLIN AMAZING RACE – FEB 15 & 16: Registration dead line is the 9th of February….Register at www.lcgjoplin.org

Joplin is holding Church services and the Amazing Race on the weekend of February 15 & 16, so please plan on enjoying an amazing family weekend.  Travel days for out-of-town participants are Friday, February 14th and Monday, February 17th.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15th in the Joplin Church Hall:  Morning Bible Study, then Church services in the afternoon.  Lunch at noon-time will be on your own.  Saturday evening will be a “Night at the Mall” dinner event.  Everyone is welcome to enter their favorite food-serving booth at the Food Court in the Shopping Mall.  Prizes will be awarded based on booth décor and taste of food.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 16th, a fun-packed day begins in the morning for the Amazing Race:  Make sure all your teammates are there.  Each racing team can have up to 4 adults ages 13 and above, plus as many ages 12 and under who can fit legally in their one vehicle.  For those who aren’t racing, there will be activities at the Joplin Church Hall, and of course lots of fellowship.  Sunday breakfast and lunch will be provided at the Church Hall.  All housing information, schedule, and race registration is at the website: www.lcgjoplin.org

 

TEEN ACTIVITY – FEB 22:

Teens & Teen Families, next month, on Saturday evening, February 22nd, get ready for an action-packed evening wrapped in food, fun and fellowship, or at least Saran Wrap.  Bring your whole family to Cling-together, while participating in games for all.  You’ll be Glad you did!  Location will be at the Burson’s home.  Pasta dinner will be provided.  Please bring a side of salad, breadsticks, dessert or drinks to contribute.  We hope to see you all there!
