PRAYER UPDATE (Linda Ruder)
This is a prayer update for Linda Ruder, daughter of Phyllis Gerfen and sister of Susan Gerfen. Linda is still continuing in her battle with widespread cancer, even after 4 surgeries to remove tumors. The family is very grateful for your prayers on her behalf, and would appreciate if you would please continue to remember her in your prayers in seeking God’s help and mercy. Thank you from Phyllis and Susan Gerfen.
ADULT SOCIAL CANCELED:
As most or all of you know from calls to you via the Emergency Call List, the Adult Social scheduled for tonight (Feb 4th) is canceled. It is hoped that the Adult Social can be re-scheduled sometime in the future. A stipulation on the use of the Claremont Clubhouse requires that Susan Jost (an employee of the facility’s Owner) be on premises during the event. However, Mrs. Jost has not been well this past week, and is too sick to attend. Your prayers for Mrs. Jost’s recovery will be appreciated.
MERRILL WISCONSIN WEEKEND (Repeat Announcement):
You are invited to the 15th Annual “Theme Fireworks” Bonfire Weekend on February 11 & 12, hosted by the Merrill, Wisconsin, Congregation. There will be a much larger, very nice facility arranged for both Sabbath Services and the Sunday brunch. A special guest speaker from HQ is scheduled to attend. This year, there is more room, more food, more family, more fireworks, and more fun planned; not to mention a very interesting and warm bonfire. FEBRUARY BIBLE STUDY:
Bible Study will be Wednesday, February 15th, beginning at 7:30 PM, at the same location as the previous Bible Studies (and Spokesman Clubs), the Best Western Plus Hotel, 4825 NE Lakewood Way, in Lees Summit, located between Lakewood Blvd and Woods Chapel Road on the East side of 291, directly behind the Summit Grill & Bar. Please make every effort to attend!
CHILDREN’S BIBLE LESSON CLASSES:
Look ahead to future Sabbaths when the Children’s Bible Lesson Classes will be held: Feb 25th for Lesson 4; and March 18th for Lesson 5.
