PRAYER REQUEST FOR DEAN MANTEUFEL:
This from DeAnna Manteufel: Asking for prayers for my husband, Dean Manteufel. He fell at home last Sabbath, and was this week diagnosed to have broken a rib, which is quit painful. As you would expect, coughing, sneezing, and laughing are very uncomfortable for him. Also, Dean is still fighting cancer which is chronic lymphoid leukemia.
YOUTH BIBLE CLASS – TODAY:
The Youth Bible Class will meet today at the stage, immediately after services, to cover Lesson #5.
GRAD CLUB – TONIGHT:
The Graduate Club will meet TONIGHT, at the home of Mr. John Wells, 2329 NE Lake Breeze Lane, Lees Summit MO 64086. Doors will be open at 6:00 PM, with the meeting starting at 6:30 PM. Assignments for Club can be found on the kclcg.org website under the Resource Center tab, then click on the Graduate Club page. A reminder that the “Three-T’s” (Topics, Toast, & Timer) are to bring snack & drink for the break.
REGULAR SPOKESMAN CLUB – FEBRUARY 23:
The Regular [undergraduate] Spokesman Club will meet in two weeks on Saturday, February 23rd, at the Best Western Plus Hotel, 4825 NE Lakewood Way, Lees Summit, located between Lakewood Blvd and Woods Chapel Road on the East side of Hwy 291, directly behind the
Summit Grill & Bar. Doors will be open at 6:00 PM, with the meeting starting at 6:30 PM.
TEEN PIZZA-LUNCH & BOWLING – FEBRUARY 10:
The teen pizza and bowling activity will be TOMORROW, Sunday, February 10th. Please meet at the home of Mr & Mrs Jacques, 1309 NW Hilltop Lane, Grain Valley, MO 64029, at 12:00 noon for pizza. We will leave for the bowling alley around 1:20 PM. Bowling is from
2:00-4:00 PM.
FAYETTEVILLE ARKANSAS FAMILY WEEKEND – FEBRUARY 15-17:
This is the FINAL announcement for the 2019 Fayetteville Family Weekend! Check-in will begin Friday, February 15th, at Mount Sequoyah in Fayetteville. This location will be the central point for all weekend activities, including housing, Bible Study, Sabbath services, an Evening in the 1950’s, and many more activities. The cost for housing per room is $95 per night. CHURCH SOCIAL – MARCH 9:
Burgers & Bunco is the theme for the March 9th social at Vesper Hall in Blue Springs, MO. Hamburgers with all the condiments, hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, and chips will be provided. Bunco is a dice game for ALL ages, young & old. We would love to get some creativity flowing with the table decorations, so please sign your name on the sign-up list on the information table to create a table centerpiece based on your theme. We will have several prize categories such as most creative, one-of-a-kind, etc. You can have your family, a single person, or a group of friends sign up. If you need on-line ideas, Pinterest is a great place to get some. You can also search on-line for “Bunco centerpieces,” which show a lot of concepts.
