PRAYER REQUEST (Michael Wright):
Prayers are requested for Michael Wright, who was admitted to the KC VA Med Center on Wednesday for what appeared to be an abdominal growth. We are awaiting further
findings.
PRAYER REQUEST (Ron Wilson Family):
The Ron Wilson family is requesting your prayers both for Beryl and for Barry’s wife Lihing. Beryl has been under the Doctor’s care since before the KC Weekend for an infection and hormonal imbalance. Lihing had her cancerous thyroid removed this past Monday. Both Beryl and Lihing are at home, with Ron taking on the roles of cook, nurse, and driver to the Doctors’ offices.

Looking ahead two weeks to Saturday evening, February 4th, our annual Adult Social will be held at a new location, the Clubhouse at the Claremont Apartments, 109th & Quivira Road, Overland Park, Kansas. The Clubhouse includes a pool table, air hockey, game tables, fireplace, seating area, and separate kitchen with large dining area. Plan on arriving by about 5:00 PM to help with set-up. The cost is $5.00 per couple (or $2.50 for singles) to cover use of the Clubhouse. The dinner theme will be Pot Luck, so plan to bring your favorite meal items to share with others, such as a meat dish, a vegetable, a fruit or lettuce salad, and a desert. Coffee, cold drinks, and dinner-ware will be furnished.
There’s room for change-of-clothes, so bring casual clothes and, if you wish, bring whatever games you enjoy. Plan on joining us for an evening of food, fellowship, and fun. If you have any questions, please call either Alice Damon at 913-952-5324, or Susan Jost at 913-856-3932, or see them after services.
