UPDATE & PRAYER REQUEST FOR PAULINE JERSETT:
This from Bud & Pauline Jersett:  Pauline had her hip surgery on Thursday (July 19th), and the surgeon said it went “perfectly.”  She will be recovering at Menorah Hospital, room 404, and should be released either late Saturday or Sunday.  Your continuing prayers for her complete recovery will be appreciated!

UPDATE ON JAN OSTROM’S BROTHER:
Recalling last Sabbath’s notice that Dave and Jan Ostrom had hurriedly left for Minnesota regarding an emergency health issue with Jan’s  brother, this update is from Dave:  Jan’s brother is recovering and was released from the hospital this past Wednesday.  Although not a Church member, prayers on his behalf have certainly been appreciated by him, his wife, and the Ostroms!

YOUTH BIBLE CLASS – TODAY:
The Youth Bible Class will meet TODAY (July 21st) at the stage immediately after services, and will cover Lesson #10.

VOLUNTEER HELP NEEDED TOMORROW FOR BUD JERSETT:
This from Bud Jersett: A reminder for those men who have already volunteered and for others who may wish to, that I need your help with packing and moving my garage items (lots of tools and such) to my new home in Blue Springs.  I have a small U-haul plus my truck.  After packing, help is then needed to clean out & sweep the garage, and throwing things into a dumpster.  I would like to start at about 9:00 AM TOMORROW, Sunday, July 22nd.  Depending on how many come to help, the process should only take at the most a couple of hours.  My address is 4010 S Woodland Ave, Independence, MO.  My phone is 816-215-2224.  If you can volunteer, please see me at Church, or phone me.

BIBLE STUDY – AUGUST 1:
Our next monthly Bible Study will be Wednesday, August 1st, at the Roger T. Sermon Community Center, 201 N. Dodgion Street, Independence, MO 64050 (SE corner of Truman & Noland roads) in the 2nd Floor meeting room.  Doors will open at least by 7:00 PM, with Bible Study starting at 7:30 PM.  When you enter the building, use the elevator across from the reception desk, and go up to the 2nd floor’s only meeting room.

DON’T MELT AWAY VOLUNTEER/RUNNER APPRECIATION:
“Thank you to all who came out and volunteered for or ran the Don’t Melt Away 5K. The support we receive year in and out from those who help is so awesome and greatly appreciated. We could not do it without so many of you helping out on race day. We hope for continued success for this event that raises money for the Living Youth Program and the Kansas City Family Weekend. Thank you, all, once again.”
