PENTECOST – TOMORROW:
Pentecost services will be TOMORROW, Sunday, June 9th, at the Hilton Garden Inn, 19677 E Jackson Dr, Independence, MO, with services at 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM. An offering will be taken-up during the morning service (please remember to bring your green pre-coded offering envelopes). Services will be held in the large California/Oregon Rooms. The Mothers Room and Anointing Room will be in the smaller Santa Fe B & C Rooms. We will have access to our various rooms from 9:00 AM until 5:30 PM.
PENTECOST LUNCH OPTIONS:
Between services, there will be a two-hour lunch break (12:30-2:30 PM). Everyone will be on their own for lunch. You may wish to go to any number of nearby & area restaurants, such as the Hereford House at the east end of the Main Hallway; please be cautious about salads & other foods containing bacon or other pork products. Or you may bring your own lunch (no alcoholic beverages), but only in the Santa Fe B & C Rooms or the Main Hallway. The large California/Oregon Rooms are NOT to be used for lunch.
YOUTH BIBLE CLASS – JUNE 15:
The Youth Bible Class will meet next Sabbath, June 15th, to cover Lesson #9.
WICHITA CHURCH PICNIC – JUNE 23:
The KC brethren are invited to join the Wichita brethren for a picnic at the O.J. Watson Park, 3022 S. McLean Blvd., Wichita, Kansas, on Sunday, June 23rd, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. For KC brethren wishing to attend, please R.S.V.P. to Jim Brown at (316) 253-5704, so that we will have enough food for all comers.
DON’T MELT AWAY 5K – JULY 21 (Repeat Announcement):
Please save the date for July 21 to help out once again with Don’t Melt Away 5K. Proceeds go to benefit the Living Youth Programs and the Local Church Activity Fund. We will need volunteers like we have in the past. Please sign up to volunteer through the website dontmeltaway5K.com. You can also run in the event if you’d like. Prices have been lowered for this year. See your Church Bulletin for more details. We hope to see everyone on race day!
