UPDATE ON KIM HARDEN:
Foot surgery was performed on Mrs. Kim Harden to correct broken bones in one foot, from slipping on ice about two weeks ago. Kim is currently at home, but at times in considerable pain, partly due to the screws needed to hold the bones in place. Your ongoing prayers for Kim are requested. Thankfully, several brethren and family members have given her support and help at home. There is still a need for temporary help during the day-time, until she can get around better. Therefore, we are still looking for women to come to her home for a couple of hours each day. If you can do so, please call Kim’s CORRECTED cellphone (816) 645-1891. Kim’s address is 1613 N. Glen Ellen St., Independence, MO 64056.
SPOKESMAN CLUB:
The Combined Spokesman/Graduate Club will meet tonight at the usual location, the Best Western Plus Hotel in Lee’s Summit. Doors will open at least by 6:00 PM, with Club starting at 6:30. If you need to check on your assignment, please see the assignment list on-line at kclcg.org under the Resource Center tab, or see the Club’s Secretary, Mr. Grant Manning.

TEEN ACTIVITIES INFORMATION:
How it works:
Becoming a teen is a very special time in your life and something to look forward to. We (The Church) have devised activities for various age groups and want to allow our youth to enjoy all the activities that are provided. We also want to allow each group to enjoy their age group activities as they are designed and setup for that age level and it does give those young children something to look forward to when they move up to the next level.
Let’s clarify what we mean by this:
The Pre-Teen group is from the ages of 7 thru 12, and the Teen group is from the ages of 13 thru 18. If you are turning 13 in the month of May, you would then be considered a teen starting the 1st of May and inducted into the Teen group level from that point.
LYP Teen Camp has certain rules that are set up for a purpose, and it is to build that excitement so that when a young person turns 13 they look forward to this special time. To be part of Teen Camp you need to be 13 years of age before camp starts or during the camp session. If you turn 13 the day after camp ends you must wait till the following year to go to teen camp.
IF we have a teen activity that includes the family (you have a 13 year old or older in your family) this is acceptable and allowed as some activities are designed for the family as a whole.
Some activities will be just for teens and will not include the other children of that family. This is not meant to exclude others per say…..but it is something that younger kids can look forward to experiencing as they grow up and become teens themselves.
There are Bible Studies as well as other activities that are geared for those of that age group that would not be appropriate or fitting for younger children. With this said there are exceptions made on a local or director level.
If you have any questions as to any of the above, please feel free to speak to Mr. Millich or Mr. Jacques.
