Kansas City Local Announcements

March 11, 2017

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME CHANGE:
A reminder regarding daylight savings going into effect tonight:  It’s good practice before going to bed tonight to “Spring Ahead,” that is, to advance by one hour your watches and clocks.  Most cellphones & I-phones, computers, and cable-connected devices will automatically change to Daylight Savings after 2:00 AM Sunday morning, but some may require a re-boot or power off/on to change.  So double-check all of your devices on Sunday.

PRAYER REQUEST (Annie Wilson):
Mrs. Annie Wilson requests your prayers for relief from ongoing pain throughout her back and right leg, from migraine headaches, and from breathing difficulty and roughness in her voice.  Your prayers for God’s intervention are needed and appreciated!

SPOKESMAN/GRADUATE CLUB:
The Combined Spokesman/Graduate Club will meet tonight, beginning at 6:30 PM, with doors opening at 6:00 PM, at the usual location, the Best Western Plus Hotel.  Club will NOT meet on March 18th due to the Church-wide fast.  Club assignments are posted and can be found on the local church website, kclcg.org, under the Resource tab.  If you are not able to access the assignment listing, or if you have an assignment but can’t attend Club on that particular night, please contact the Club’s Secretary, Mr. Dustin Gooding.

CHILDREN’S BIBLE LESSON CLASS:
Next Sabbath, March 18th, the Children’s Bible Lesson Class will meet after services to go over Lesson 5.

NTBMO:
The Night-To-Be-Much-Observed occurs this year on Monday evening, April 10th.  While families and small groups often get together in homes or restaurants, some may wish to join larger groups in private settings.  Openings are available within three such groups.  Information hand-outs and sign-up sheets for these groups are on the information table.
-Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse in Olathe, Kansas, is starting to fill-up but has remaining space for 6 brethren.
-Bonefish Grill in the northland of Kansas City, Missouri.
-Cass-Browning Community Center in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, limited to 50 brethren, featuring a covered-dish meal, with the host families furnishing the meat, salad, and drinks.

Days OF ULB Request:
To assist with planning for the Days Of ULB and for newer Brethren, a section will be added to the local kclcg.org  Website titled: Days Of ULB Recipe’s.      If you have a favorite recipe you would like to share please send to john@wellskc.com.  An easy way to do so is to take a picture of the recipe with your smartphone and then email it.  You can also hand deliver it on the Sabbath to either John or Paula Wells.  Please also notate if you would like your name referenced to the recipe or you prefer to have it listed anonymously.

Deadline for Submission is March 30th.
