NTBMO URGENT MATTERS:

EM CHAMAS:  There’s still room at EM Chamas for NTBMO for more people, but you must sign up TODAY!  If you’ve already signed-up, but since changed your mind and wish to cancel, you must let the Bodes know today if possible, or by NEXT MONDAY (March 26th) at the latest.  Otherwise, you will have to pay for your meal, whether you’re there or not, because the restaurant will have locked-in the cost for each person.  If you have any questions, you can see Mrs. Bode today, or call the Bodes by Monday.

LAST-MINUTE ARRANGEMENTS:  If you do not yet have a place to attend the NTBMO, or if you can host one or more brethren, please see the GUEST/HOST sign-up sheet on the Information Table.

NEW VIDEO FOR NTBMO HOSTS:  A new video has been released that can be played as part of this year’s NTBMO.  If you are in need of a copy of this year’s Video for the NTBMO, it can be found on-line at kclcg.org under the resource tab, or if you will not have access to the Internet or you prefer it on disk, you can obtain it from Mr. John Wells today in the form of a USB drive from which you can play on a computer.  For planning purposes, note that the video is 28 minutes in length.

PIONEER PROGRAM (FOR BOTH KC AND ST. JOE):

FYI TO PARENTS:  Our meeting location is in a unique location with lots of very, very cool and EXPENSIVE aircraft.  We will have the opportunity to view and take part in the awesome scenery, but the primary goal and focus will be on the Pioneer’s meeting.  The Pioneers will have to adhere to strict rules in the Hangar for their safety and the protection of the Aircraft.  Let’s have a profitable start to the Pioneers Program!   The complete address and driving directions are provided below for your parents; if clarification is needed, please call Dusty Gooding at (816) 433-7175.

CHILD-CARE DURING THE PASSOVER SERVICE:

As stated in the World Ahead Update last week, Church Administration is asking us to make sure that we abide by the policies set forth, to ensure we do things properly and in order with the care of children while at a Church function or service.  We are needing to get a list containing those individuals’ information to make sure we are following procedures and policies.

If you are a baptized member and are utilizing the child-care service provided by the Church for the Passover service, we need you to please sign the list on the Information Table with the names and ages of your children.  Also, those Adults/Teens who will be watching over the children at the building during the Passover service, if you haven’t done so already, please sign the list today to ensure sufficient time for the policies to be implemented.

HOLY DAY OFFERING ENVELOPES:

For offerings taken up on the upcoming Holy Days, please remember to use your green pre-coded Holy Day offering envelopes sent to you from HQ.  If you did not receive these envelopes or you forget to bring one with you, the ushers will have blank envelopes available.

SPRING HOLY DAYS:

Looking ahead to the early Spring Holy Days, the location for Passover, AND for both Holy Days during Unleavened Bread, will be the Adam’s Mark Hotel, 9103 E 39th St, Kansas City, MO 64133.  This is the same hotel where we met for Holy Days last year.  After entering the hotel, walk straight down the main hallway.  Signage will be in place to identify our large meeting room, and child-care or mothers room (as applicable to each day).  See particulars below for each day.

PASSOVER:  Next Thursday evening, March 29th at the Adam’s Mark Hotel.  Those having assigned setup and other duties for the Passover service will need to arrive at 6:15 PM.  Doors will open for the general membership at 7:15 PM, with services beginning at 7:45 PM.  Remember that the Passover service is for baptized members only.  Child-care for babies & small children will be provided, but you must sign-up today if you haven’t already done so..

NIGHT-TO-BE-MUCH-OBSERVED (NTBMO):  Next Friday evening, March 30th, at the location of your choice.  Planning the evening is up to each individual, family, or small group, such as at home, or a restaurant (preferably in a quiet private room), or with one of the larger groups as previously announced.  Just before sunset, relevant scriptures are to be read (or a Church-produced NTBMO DVD played), followed by the blessing of the meal, and the meal itself (with the majority of the meal eaten after sunset).

FIRST DAY OF UNLEAVENED BREAD:  Next Saturday (weekly Sabbath) afternoon, March 31st at the Adam’s Mark Hotel.  Doors will be open at 12:00 Noon.  There will only be ONE service at our usual Sabbath starting time of 1:00 PM; an offering will be taken up.  To clarify, no services will be held at Sycamore Hills School on this day.  Because another group is meeting in the same large meeting room after our Church service, we must completely vacate the room by 4:00 PM.

LAST DAY OF UNLEAVENED BREAD:  All day Friday, April 6th at the Adam’s Mark Hotel.  Doors will be open at 9:00 AM for setup.  There will be TWO services, with the morning service beginning at 10:30 AM, during which an offering will be taken up, and the afternoon service beginning at 2:30 PM.  Between services, there will be a two-hour lunch break (12:30-2:30 PM).  Everyone will be on there own for lunch.  You may eat at the hotel restaurant (no special meal has been planned) or go to any number of nearby restaurants; be cautious about eating leavened foods.  You may also bring in your own lunch, but only into our large meeting room.  Please do not eat in the hallways and especially not in or near the hotel restaurant.  If you eat in our conference room, you cannot bring in tables, but you may move around chairs as long as you put them back in place when you finish eating.  We must vacate all rooms we are using 5:30 PM.

WEEKLY SABBATH OF APRIL 7th:  Our weekly Sabbath of April 7th, is the day right AFTER the Last Day of Unleavened Bread.  On April 7th, we will be back to our normal meeting place at the Sycamore Hills Elementary School, with services beginning at the normal time of 1:00 PM.
