PRAYER REQUEST FOR LANITA BOLIN:
This news received from Rick Bolin: I received some bad news yesterday. My sister-in-law, Lanita Bolin, was rushed into emergency surgery Tuesday due to stomach problems and incredible weight loss. They discovered cancer in both large and small intestines, as well as her lymph nodes and other parts of her body. The Dr.’s feel the surgery went well, but have not yet determined the best post-surgery treatment. To clarify, Lanita is my brother David’s wife. I know a lot of the KC brethren know David and his family, and are familiar with his medical history of losing a leg. He and I both are asking for your prayers, comfort, and a successful recovery for Lanita.
UPDATE ON BOB POOLE:
A note from Bob Poole: Dear Brethren, the replacement of my left hip went well. However, the recovery is slower and a little more painful than it was for the right hip. THANKS to God’s healing and your prayers, I’m coming along fine. I am requesting and appreciate your continued prayers.
PRAYER REQUEST & ASSISTANCE:
You may recall last Sabbath’s announcement that Mrs. Kim Harden had slipped on ice, breaking bones in one foot. Your ongoing prayers for her are requested. Kim is currently at home, but can use some temporary help during the day-time, until she can get around better. Since all of her family members work during the day, we are looking for women to come to her home for a couple of hours each day. If you can do so, please call Kim’s cellphone, (816) 213-3149. Kim’s address is 1613 N. Glen Ellen St., Independence, MO 64056.

NTBMO PLANS:
Two groups still have space for more brethren at the Night-To-Be-Much-Observed on Friday evening, March 30th. For each group, please see the event details & sign-up sheet on the Information Table. Of course, you may wish to make your own plans, such as with a small group at another restaurant or in your own home. The two current groups are meeting at:
DOUBLETREE RESTAURANT: At the Doubletree’s Trofi restaurant in Overland Park, KS, near Corporate Woods, a private room has been reserved for NTBMO.
EM CHAMAS BRAZILIAN GRILL: The Bodes have reserved a private room at EM Chamas, a Brazilian steak house located in the Kansas City northland, having used this restaurant several times in the past for NTBMO.
HIGHWAY CLOSURES AFFECTING THOSE NORTH OF THE RIVER:
Brethren need to be aware of a temporary highway closure that affects traveling to and from North Kansas City and the Kansas City “Northland.” The Missouri Department of Transportation has closed all northbound and southbound lanes of I-435 at Route 210 (just east of North Kansas City), beginning at 10:00 PM, yesterday, Friday, March 2nd, extending thru 5:00 AM, Monday, March 5th. To avoid the resulting traffic congestion & detours, alternative routes could include north-bound connections from I-70, such as Highway 291 toward Liberty, Highway 169 toward Smithville, I-35 toward I-29, and as your GPS routing may show as the most expedient.
