PERFUME & LOTION ISSUE:
Last Sabbath, May 5th, several brethren suffered adverse allergic reactions to someone nearby who had used perfume and/or was applying scented lotion at services. Please show love to your neighbors at services who want to concentrate on the services, and avoid use of perfume, cologne, after-shave lotion, hand lotion, and other aromatic substances.
YOUTH BIBLE LESSON CLASS:
The Youth Bible Lesson Class will meet next Sabbath, May 19th, and will cover Lesson #8.
ASSISTANCE FOR BOB HARDEN:
Bob Harden, who is wheel-chair bound, at times needs assistance getting into Church services, as well as sometimes during the week with grocery shopping. While Larry Moluf has routinely been helping Bob, and Bob’s family members help at other times, Larry Moluf has moved to the Rolla, MO area, and there are times when Bob’s family are not available. Therefore, if any of you brethren can occasionally help Bob in these situations,, he would be very appreciative. Please see Bob at Church services, or call him at home, 816-254-8739.
PENTECOST SERVICES:
Pentecost services will be Sunday, May 20th, at the Adam’s Mark Hotel, 9103 E 39th St, K.C., MO 64133. We will meet in the large meeting room on the Lobby Level. Signage will be in place to identify our large meeting room, and mothers room. Doors will be open at 9:00 AM for setup. There will be TWO services, with the morning service beginning at 10:30 AM, during which an offering will be taken up, and the afternoon service beginning at 2:30 PM. At the end of the day, we must vacate all rooms we are using by 5:30 PM, so be sure you have your belongings gathered up before 5:30 PM.
PENTECOST – LUNCH OPTIONS:
Between services, there will be a two-hour lunch break (12:30-2:30 PM). Everyone will be on their own for lunch. Since the hotel’s restaurant is still closed, you may wish to go to any number of nearby fast-food and sit-down restaurants. Or you may bring in your own lunch, but only into our large meeting room and not in the hallways. If you eat in our large meeting room, you cannot bring in tables, but you may move around chairs as long as you put them back in place when you finish eating.
PENTECOST OFFERING ENVELOPES:
For the Holy Day offering taken up on the Feast of Pentecost, please remember to use your green pre-coded Holy Day offering envelopes sent to you from HQ. If you did not receive these envelopes or you forget to bring one with you, the ushers will have blank envelopes available.
