ROOFING PROJECT THANKS:
We were truly humbled and so appreciative of the fine work and enthusiastic spirit exhibited by all of the men & women who responded, and their families who sacrificed for them to be there. A very heartfelt thanks, in Christian Love, the Robert White Family.
PRAYER REQUEST (Barbara Moluf):
Prayers are requested for Mrs. Barbara Moluf concerning her body’s elevated calcium levels. As her blood count’s condition has reached dangerous levels, so she has been scheduled for exploratory surgery on Tuesday, May 16th at 9:00 AM. Her surgeon will attempt to remove any impairments associated with her malfunctioning parathyroid glands. Please pray for God’s blessing on the surgeon, Dr. Kelvin Walls, and his team, who will conduct the surgery at Lee’s Summit Medical Center, Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
CANDLE FUND-RAISER:
The Candle fund-raiser’s cut-off date is today, so if you are still interested in participating, please see Mrs. Paula Wells or Mrs. Olivia Randolph. Checks should be made to “KC Local Church.” Candles are to arrive for distribution in approximately two weeks. Your participation in this fund-raiser is appreciated!
YES LESSON:
There will be a Y.E.S. Class covering Lesson #7, next Sabbath, May 20th. Looking ahead to next month, on June 17th, the Class will cover Lesson #8.
BIBLE STUDY FOR MAY:
This month’s Bible Study will be Wednesday, May 24th, beginning at 7:30 PM, at the same location as the previous Bible Studies, the Best Western Plus Hotel, 4825 NE Lakewood Way, in Lees Summit, located between Lakewood Blvd and Woods Chapel Road on the East side of 291, directly behind the Summit Grill & Bar. Please attend if at all possible!
CHURCH CAMP-OUT:
Our Church Camp-out will be Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 26th thru Monday, the 29th, at the Sycamore Springs Resort and Campground, 3126 Bittersweet Rd, Sabetha, KS 66534, located 6 miles north of Sabetha (same location as last year). Sabbath services will be held in the Resort’s air-conditioned building, followed by a covered dish meal. Costs for accommodations are as follows: RV $30, Cabin $45, Tent $15.
Roller Skating $5 (kids 5 and under are free). Miniature Golf $3.
Hotel $65 for 2 people, breakfast included ($5 less without breakfast).

DON’T-MELT-AWAY-5K:
Looking ahead to mid-July, please save the date of Sunday, July 16th, to help out once again with the Don’t-Melt-Away-5K. Proceeds go to benefit Living Youth Programs and the Kansas City Family Weekend. We will need volunteers like we have in the past. Please sign up to volunteer through the website, dontmeltaway5K.com. SPOKESMAN/GRADUATE CLUB FOR NEXT YEAR:
For next year’s Spokesman/Graduate Club, a sign-up list can be found on the Information Table for anyone NOT in club this year, who may be ready to participate in Club this fall. Those currently in Club this year do not need to sign the list. Depending on the total number of current and new members, it may be possible to have two Clubs, one for Undergraduate Spokesmen and one for Graduates.
FESTIVAL ASSISTANCE:
For brethren who anticipate needing financial assistance to be able to attend the Feast of Tabernacles next Fall, please see either Mr. Rand Millich or Mr. George Damon for a Festival Assistance form. The form needs to be filled-out and returned to Mr. Millich for review & approval, who will then forward it to Church headquarters.
