Pentecost services will be held on Sunday, June 4th, at a new location, the Auditorium of the Nowlin Middle School, 2800 S. Hardy Ave., Independence, Missouri 64052.  There will be two services:  the morning service will begin at 10:30 AM, during which an offering will be taken up (so please use your green pre-coded envelopes you received from HQ); the afternoon service will begin at 2:30 PM.

A Conference Room labeled “Mothers Room,” located in the main hallway to the right of the School’s main entrance, will be available during services.  However, before and after each service, this same room will be reserved for anointing.

PENTECOST PARKING & TRAVEL DIRECTION:

There is plenty of parking in the large parking lot on the north side of the school.  If you have no difficulty walking up a slope, please leave the parking spaces at the top of the slope (nearest the building) for handicapped or those with walking difficulty.  Entrance to the school will be via the front entrance of the school.  The auditorium is to the left just after you walk into the main entrance.

IF YOU ARE USING INTERSTATE 70:

– If coming from the west take the Blue Ridge Cutoff exit, then left (north), turn right on E 31st Street, then left (north) on S. Hardy Ave.  The school will be on the left.

– If coming from the east take the Hwy 40 exit to Sterling Ave. and turn right.  Turn left on E. 31st Street, then right (north) on S. Hardy Ave.  The school will be on the left.

IF YOU ARE USING 23RD STREET:

– If coming from I-435, take 23rd east to S. Hardy Ave. and turn right (south).  The school will be on your right.

PENTECOST SCHOOL RESTRICTIONS:

There are PLENTY of theater seats in the auditorium.  Therefore, unless you have a particular need to sit at the rear of the Auditorium, please sit in rows toward the front.  There will be ushers and possibly signs indicating the rear off-limits seating.  Please do not bring food or drink into the Auditorium other than water in sealed bottles.  Restrooms and water fountains are just outside the Auditorium in the main hallway.

Other than the those hallways needed for direct access to the Auditorium and Mothers Room, no one is to roam other hallways or rooms in the building.  In this regard, please do not leave your children unattended or be out of your sight.  While it is not likely that there will be other school activities or weekend work, we want to be courteous and quiet in case school staff are present or other activity is in progress.
