Local Announcements Nov 11, 2017

PRAYER REQUEST:

On Monday, Nov 13th, Bob Poole is having his right hip replaced.  He would appreciate your prayers for a positive outcome and a complete healing.

VETERANS DAY:

Today, also being Veterans Day, we do have a number of men (& women?) in our area congregations who served in the military prior to God calling them into His Church.  So we wish to acknowledge their service, as well as to thank God for protecting them when they served in harm’s way and in other hazardous situations!

MISSING HYMNAL FOUND:

You may recall an announcement last summer regarding Beryl Wilson’s missing Church hymnal of the type used by choir directors and song leaders.  Beryl is very happy to announce that her hymnal is no longer missing.  No explanation is available as it was in plain sight Monday morning this week!  To all our brethren who kept an eye out for the hymnal, Beryl sincerely appreciates your concern.

UPDATE ON JIM HUTCHINS:

Jim Hutchins goes each Monday afternoon to have his antibiotic IV bandages replaced and the status of his knee infection checked.  So far, everything is going well.  At all other times during the week he is at home recovering.  Thanks to the brethren who have provided meals, and those who have come by to visit and to help Jim during his lunch-time.  Two sign-up sheets will remain on the Information Table for brethren who can provide meals (or a main dish), and those who are able to visit at lunch-time on week-days, typically between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.  Mr. Jeff Sallaz has offered to drop off at the Hutchins’ home any cold or frozen dishes brought to Sabbath services.  If you are personally dropping off food at the Hutchins’ home, or for men who can come by for a week-day lunch-time visit, please call before-hand so Jim will know to expect you; his phone is (816) 482-1734.  There is also a small hand-out on the Information Table with the Hutchins’ address and phone numbers.
