SPOKESMAN/GRADUATE CLUB TONIGHT:

As a reminder, the first session for the Combined Spokesman/Graduate Club is tonight, beginning at 7:00 PM, at the Summit Inn Hotel in Lees Summit, located between Lakewood Blvd and Woods Chapel Road on the East side of 291, directly behind the Summit Grill Restaurant.  Doors will open

at 6:00 PM.  Please arrive a bit early so the meeting can begin on-time.  If you haven’t officially signed-up, please come anyway!

TRUMPETS & ATONEMENT LOCATION:

Services for both Trumpets and Atonement will be held at the Adams Mark Hotel, 9103 E. 39th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64133.  The hotel is located on the north side of I-70 diagonally across from Royals Stadium.  We will be meeting in the large conference room at the far end of the hall straight down from the main entrance.  As a clarification, please do NOT confuse the Adams Mark Hotel with the Adams Pointe facility much farther east in Blue Springs!

MOTHERS/FAMILY ROOM:

For both Holy Days, one of the Hotel’s smaller rooms, called “The Directors Room,” has been designated for use as our “Mothers/Family Room.” This room will have about 10 chairs.  Other than nourishment for the infants and small children, we are not to take food or drink into this particular room, since the room is normally used for formal business meetings.

TRUMPETS SERVICES:

Trumpets is on Monday, October 3rd, and there will be two services, with a 2-hour lunch-break in between.  The first service will begin at 10:30 AM, during which an offering will be taken up.  The second service will begin at 2:30 PM.  To allow additional time for fellowship and for set-up & tear-down, We have reserved the large conference room from 9:30 AM through 5:30 PM.

TRUMPETS LUNCH OPTIONS:

HOTEL LUNCHEON BUFFET:  On Trumpets, for those wishing to purchase their lunch at the hotel during the break between services, the hotel is offering a luncheon buffet at the hotel restaurant, beginning at 12:30 PM.  The cost of the buffet is $12 per adult, ages 12 years and older.  For children ages 3 thru 11 years old, the cost is $6.  No charge for children under 3 years of age.  Payment to the restaurant may be by credit card or cash, and will be paid as you enter the restaurant.  The buffet will be a Fiesta/Taco Bar consisting of:

– Choice of Seasoned Ground Beef or Shredded Southwest Chicken.

– Soft and Hard Tortilla Shells.

– Toppings:  Lettuce, Tomato, Cheddar Cheese, Sour Cream and Salsa.

– Spanish Rice.

– Iced Tea and Water.

BRINGING YOUR OWN LUNCH?  For those bringing their own lunch, the hotel has approved anyone wishing to do so, as long as it is eaten only inside the large conference room where we will be meeting, but not in the hallway and not in the Mothers Room.  Please note that the hotel is not providing temporary set up of lunch tables for this purpose.  Moving chairs around is okay, but please put them back in place after you have finished lunch.

EATING OUT?  For those wishing to have lunch at a nearby restaurant, there are a number of sit-down restaurants and fast-food restaurants in the general area.

WANT COFFEE?  For coffee drinkers, we will NOT be providing coffee since a deep sink and preparation area are not available to us.  Brethren wanting coffee may purchase coffee at the restaurant across from the check-in desk at the front entrance of the hotel.

ATONEMENT SERVICE:

The Atonement service will be on Wednesday, October 12th, and there will only be ONE service beginning at 1:00 PM, during which an offering will be taken up.  Doors to the conference room will be open at 12:00 Noon.  The Day of Atonement is a 24-hour fast (no food or water) beginning at sunset the evening of the 11th, and ending at sunset on the 12th.  For obvious reasons, there will be no lunch or luncheon that day.

HOLY DAY OFFERING ENVELOPES:

For Trumpets and Atonement, as well as the two Holy Days during the Feast, please use the green, pre-coded Holy Day Offering envelopes sent to you from HQ.  Using these envelopes greatly speeds up the counting and receipting process at HQ, which saves valuable time and dollars.  If you have not received pre-coded envelopes, please contact HQ via email at records@lcg.org or by phone (704) 844-1970, and they will be happy to send you a set for the upcoming Holy Days.
