FEAST HOME-BOUND LIST:
Remaining copies of the Feast Home-Bound Brethren for the Kansas City Area are available at the rear of the Conference Room. The intent of the list is to provide you with the opportunity, during the Feast, to send a thoughtful card or note to these brethren, letting
them know you are mindful of them.
FELLOWSHIP AFTER ATONEMENT SERVICES:
We will have about an hour after Atonement services for fellowship, and will need to vacate the Conference Room by 4:00 PM, or at least please move into the hallway. Be sure you have all of your belongings when you leave. For those who don’t have their own songbook, please remember to take a songbook to the Feast with you, but please bring it back with you. The Atonement fast will end at sunset this evening at about 6:45 PM as shown on our October Church calendar.
SABBATH AFTER ATONEMENT:
For Kansas City brethren, our next Sabbath service after Atonement and just before the Feast, will be October 15th, located at our normal Sabbath location, Sycamore Hills School, with services starting at the normal time of 1:00 PM. Please be aware that there will NOT be a webcast of services that day.
SABBATHS DURING & FOLLOWING THE FEAST:
For the Sabbath of October 22nd, occurring during the Feast of Tabernacles, there will be no local services at Sycamore Hills. For the Sabbath of October 29th, immediately following the Feast, Sabbath services will resume at Sycamore Hills at the normal time of 1:00 PM.
ANNUAL ROBINSON HAYRIDE WEEKEND:
A copy of this information is available on the Sycamore Hills Information Table on Sabbaths before and after the Feast.
The Annual Robinson Hayride Weekend will be Saturday, November 5th, at a new location. On Friday the 4th, there will be a Home-School Pioneer Day (those home-schoolers planning to attend, please contact Liz). On Saturday the 5th, breakfast is on your own. The new location for Church services is the Upper Wolf Lutheran Church, 1803 Sumac Road, south of Robinson, KS 66532. Cookies, cheese & crackers, coffer & tea will be available at 12:30; services will begin at 1:30 PM. After services, a chili-soup supper will be held at about 4:30. Please see the sign-up sheet for your location. The hayride will begin at sunset. Please bring clothing suitable for the weather. If you do not want to go on the hayride, please bring your favorite table games to play and FOT pictures to share. Hot chocolate, caramel apples, and kettle corn will be provided after the hayride. On Sunday the 6th, at 10:00 AM, a kickball tournament will be at the park. A suggested $20.00 donation per family, or $5.00 per person, is needed to attend this activity, to be paid by Sunday, October 30th. If you prefer, a paypal account is available at lizjeschke97@gmail.com. Checks may be sent to Craig or Elizabeth Jeschke, 1905 Prairie Road, Robinson, KS 66532. If you have questions, call Craig or Elizabeth Jeschke at 785-544-7798, or email lizjeschke97@gmail.com.
WORK PROJECT VOLUNTEERS:
Volunteer Lumber-Jacks are needed for a work project on Sunday, November 13th, to cut and remove two trees. The proceeds will be used to help reduce the cost of the Kansas City Weekend for all who attend. Please sign-up immediately after church so we can be sure of enough help to complete the job! If a sign-up sheet is not out today, it should be available at Sycamore Hills next Sabbath and on several Sabbaths after the Feast.
SERVING DURING THE KC WEEKEND:
Many brethren, over this past year, have indicated the desire to serve in some way at the KC Weekend. With this in mind, there is a real need for Judges for the Family Games on Sunday during the weekend. The Family Games event is a high-light of the weekend, and your help is required for a successful event. If a sign-up sheet is not out today, it should be available at Sycamore Hills next Sabbath and on several Sabbaths after the Feast.
