PAINTING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT THE JERSETT’S HOME:
As you may know, a few weeks ago the Jersett’s home suffered water damage, but the major repairs have been completed. What remains are six wall surfaces needing to be wiped down, primer applied, and then painted. If you can volunteer to help at any time during any of the next three days (Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday), please call Pauline Jersett at 816-977-6112. Their home is located at 1612 NE Scarborough Dr., Blue Springs, MO 64014.
WORK PROJECT/FUND-RAISER – TOMORROW:
Thanks in advance for all of those who are planning to assist tomorrow with the Activity Fund-Raiser. Start time is planned for 8:30 AM (or 9:00 if you need some more sleep!). The location is at 700 SE 3rd Street, just one block West of Hwy 291 in Lees Summit. There will be some roofing and some tree-removal work. We yet need a number of people to carry tree limbs to the chipper. Many hands make light work, and the goal is to be done by noon. Please meet briefly after services by the Piano with Doug Burson and John Wells.
CHURCH SERVICES & SOCIAL, VESPER HALL – NOVEMBER 3:
Next Sabbath, November 3rd, after Church Services, we will be having a Post-Feast Social to include dinner and plenty of time for fellowship. For the dinner, brethren are asked to bring ONLY salad and hot or cold vegetable dishes; EVERYTHING ELSE WILL BE PROVIDED! Church Services (starting at the usual time of 1:00 PM) and the Social will be held at Vesper Hall, 400 NW Vesper Street, Blue Springs MO 64014.
SNACKS FOR KIDS AFTER THE NOV 3RD SERVICES:
Because of the gap in time between the Nov 3rd Church Services and the dinner later, parents with small children may want to bring snacks to tide the kids over until dinner-time.
