PRAYER REQUEST FOR MICHAEL ROEVER:
Mrs. Debbie Roever reports that Michael went to the hospital (St. Luke’s South) last Thursday with a gall bladder problem, as well as a heart issue. He is resting and on pain medication. Mr. Millich scheduled a visit to anoint Michael on Friday, prior to Michael having his gall bladder removed (but dependent on his heart settling down first). Your prayers for Michael are needed and appreciated!
PRAYER REQUEST FOR ALAN HOOD:
Jason Fritz reports that we are saddened by the sudden loss of Mr. Alan Hood, 57, long-time member, beloved husband and father of four daughters, from the Richmond, Virginia LCG congregation. Alan was struck by a vehicle on Monday night, and died at the hospital later that evening. He was a tremendous volunteer at the youth camps, and his service and selflessness touched the lives of many. Alan will be greatly missed. Please remember Sarah, his wife, and daughters Lily, 16, Ginger, 13, Rosemary and Olivia, 10, in your prayers. Cards and letters may be sent to:
Mrs. Sarah Hood
3033 Kents Store Way
Kents Store, VA 23084
In lieu of sending flowers, Mrs. Hood has requested those funds be used for future camp expenses for her daughters. There is a “Gofundme” account for anyone who has interest; for “Gofundme” info, email Jason Fritz, Jfritts@lcg.org
PRAYER REQUEST & CALL INFO FOR MANTEUFEL’S:
Your continuing prayers are requested for Dean Manteufel who is at home, taking medication for leukemia. However, Dean and Deanna are available for your calls and visits. Their home phone is 816-436-1661, but avoid early morning calls. If you plan a visit, please call first to be sure they are home (and not at a medical appointment). Their address is 1104 NE 76th Terrace, Gladstone, MO 64118. P.S.: the Manteufel’s have very much enjoyed getting cards and notes from brethren during the Feast!
ASSISTANCE FOR JIM HUTCHINS:
As a clarification on Jim Hutchins, his recent surgery was to remove his right-knee replacement, due to the severity of an infection in the knee. The surgery also included a long steel rod in his leg to prevent his knee from flexing during his recovery from the infection, and limiting his mobility. Jim is currently at home during his recovery. In addition to your prayers for Jim, he and Sherri need help with the following:
FIRST is help with meals, so please see the “Hutchins Meals Sign-Up List” on the Information Table, if you are able to provide one or more meals during the weeks ahead. Mr. Jeff Sallaz has offered to drop off any cold or frozen dishes brought these next several Sabbaths. There is also a hand-out with the Hutchins’ address and phone numbers. If you are personally dropping off food at the Hutchins’ home, please call before-hand so they will know to expect you.
SECOND, since Sherri works during the week, a man is needed to stay with Jim at home to be sure he doesn’t fall and to help with his lunch, during the initial weeks of his recovery. You will need to be at the Hutchins’ home from about 7:30 AM thru 3:30 PM if at all possible. Please see the “Hutchins’ In-Home Helper Sign-Up List” on the information table, indicating what day or days you are available.
