COFFEE SERVICE VOLUNTEERS (Repeat Announcement): It’s that time of year again when we are asking: who wants to be removed from serving on the coffee volunteer list, and who would like to start serving during the coming year 2020? New & existing volunteers will be asked to serve for one month at a time in 2020. We have already had a few people asked to be removed from the current list. Please let Stephen or Emily Erman know as soon as possible, or at least by the end of October. ANNUAL ROBINSON HAYRIDE WEEKEND – NOV 1-3:
Please join us NEXT WEEKEND for our Annual Hayride Weekend activities, held in Robinson KS, on the first weekend in November, with Friday Nov 1st as a travel day for some, then Saturday Nov 2nd and Sunday Nov 3rd. Robinson Sabbath services will be on November 2nd at 1:30 PM. Services and all activities will be held at the Upper Wolf Church, 1803 Sumac Rd, Robinson KS 66532. On the Sabbath before services, coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided from 12:00 Noon to 1:30 PM. A Chili Dinner will begin at 5:00 PM, followed by the Hayride after sunset. Hot chocolate, hot apple cider, caramel apples, and kettle corn will be served after the Hayride. Please bring suitable weather-appropriate clothing. If you’d rather not go on the Hayride, please bring your favorite table games or FOT pictures to share. On Sunday, a kickball game will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a hot dog roast with sides provided. To cover the weekend cost, $5 per person or $25 per family (ages 3 and up) is suggested. BIBLE STUDY – NOV 6:
Our next monthly Bible Study will be Wednesday, November 6th, at the Roger T. Sermon Community Center, 201 N. Dodgion Street, Independence, MO 64050 (SE corner of Truman & Noland roads) in the 2nd Floor meeting room. Doors will open at least by 7:00 PM, with Bible Study starting at 7:30 PM.
