HOLY DAY OFFERING ENVELOPES:
For offerings taken up on the remaining Holy Days (Atonement, Tabernacles, & Last Great Day), please remember to use your green pre-coded Holy Day offering envelopes sent to you from HQ. If you did not receive these envelopes or you forget to bring them with you, the ushers at each location will have blank envelopes available.
DAY OF ATONEMENT:
The Day of Atonement services will be on Wednesday, September 19th, at the Adam’s Mark Hotel, 9103 East 39th Street, Kansas City, MO, with one service at 1:00 PM, during which an offering will be taken-up. This day is a 24-hour fast-day (no food or drink, no water) extending from sunset the previous evening (Tuesday) to sunset at the completion of the Day of Atonement.
SABBATH AFTER ATONEMENT:
For the Sabbath of September 22nd (after Atonement and just before the Feast), there will NOT be any Webcast live-streaming of services, nor stored archive. Webcast live-streaming and stored archive will resume on the Sabbath of October 6th (following the Feast). Thank you for your understanding!
FEAST HOME-BOUND LIST:
Many of you have already picked-up copies of the list of Kansas City area brethren unable to attend the Feast this year. There are still a few copies remaining on the Information Table. Feel free to pick up a copy after services today, one copy per family, please. If we run out of copies, more will be available on Atonement. Alternatively, send (before Atonement) an email to Mr. Damon, gdamon@kc.rr.com, and he will email a list back to you. The list can also be accessed on the kclcg.com website by clicking on the Resource Center tab and selecting Fall Holy Days 2018.

Because of medical reasons, Mrs Phyllis Gerfen will not be able to attend the Feast this year, and her daughter, Ms Susan Gerfen, will be staying with her, and will also not be able to attend. SPOKESMAN/GRADUATE CLUBS UPDATE & SIGN-UP:
For the upcoming 2018/2019 season, two clubs, a Spokesman Club and a Graduate Club, each being smaller in size is being “considered.” This would allow each club member more “opportunities” during the season, and would provide a focus for each club, unlike the combined club of years passed. Club size is planned to be limited. To gauge if there is sufficient interest, please sign-up on the on-line sign-up form found on the local kclcg.org website under the resource tab. If you are unable to access or sign-up online, please express your interest to either Mr. John Wells, or the Club Director Mr. Millich, or the Assistant Club Director Mr. Bobby Jacques. BIBLE STUDY – OCTOBER 10:
Our next monthly Bible Study will be Wednesday, October 10th, at the Roger T. Sermon Community Center, 201 N. Dodgion Street, Independence, MO 64050 (SE corner of Truman & Noland roads) in the 2nd Floor meeting room. Doors will open at least by 7:00 PM, with Bible Study starting at 7:30 PM. When you enter the building, use the elevator across from the reception desk, and go up to the 2nd floor’s only meeting room.
LOCAL CHURCH ACTIVITY FUND:
The Local Church activity fund is utilized to support a number of items including, Flowers for Funerals, scholarships for Teen and Pre-Teen Camp, local church socials, and the year-end Kansas City Weekend event. This year, to date, there has been minimal fund-raising and our account is not depleted, but is running down. A work project fund-raiser is being “penciled” in for Sunday, Oct 28th. The project will include a small area of roofing and some tree/brush removal, with the potential to earn $1,250 for the local church activity fund. Please plan now to participate. For those not able to physically assist with the fund raiser, please feel free to make a donation if able. Checks can be sent C/O John Wells made payable to the KC Local Activity Fund, and mailed to 2329 NE Lake Breeze Lane, Lees Summit MO 64086.
