PIONEER CLUB PINEWOOD DERBY RACE – TOMORROW:
The annual Pinewood Derby Race will be held TOMORROW, Sunday, December 22nd, at 10:00 AM. The location is same as last time, Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport, Hangar 11, 1071 NW Lou Holland Dr, Kansas City, MO 64116. Remember to stick to the rules that have been given. Same as last year, with trophies for the winners in the different categories. A “NO Graphite” rule is in effect until you are given instructions just prior to the race, as we want to keep the hangar floor clean. Also, we are inviting the Moms & families of the Pioneers to this event. See you there!
KANSAS CITY DINNER/DANCE SOCIAL – NEXT SABBATH:
The Kansas City Dinner/Dance Social is NEXT SABBATH, December 28th at the Gladstone Community Center, 6901 N Holmes St, Gladstone, MO 64118. Sabbath services will begin one-half hour earlier than normal, at 12:30 PM (doors open to brethren at 11:30 AM). The Sabbath will consist of streaming of live services from Charlotte at 12:30 PM local time, followed by a catered dinner & family dance.
The dinner will begin at approximately 4:30 PM. If you are just going to attend the dance, it will start at approximately 6:30 PM. Olive Garden will cater the meal, with pricing per person at $8 with a max of $40 per family of 5 or more. Dinner will consist of your choice of: Spaghetti or Fettuccine, Alfredo or Marinara sauce, Grilled Chicken or Beef Meatballs, Salad, and Breadsticks. Drinks (tea, water, coffee) will be provided.
Brethren are invited to bring a dessert to share.
Payment for the meal can be made via PayPal link found under the Helpful Links tab on the kclcg.org website, OR go directly to the link by typing kclcg.org/2019kcsocial please note on the payment the total number of adults & children.
Payment must be received by TOMORROW, Sunday, Dec 22nd.
If you’re financially unable to afford the cost of the meal and would still like to eat the catered dinner meal, please inform either Mr. Bobby Jacques or Mr. John Wells preferably today so you can be included in the total count that has to be turned in Monday.
The Dance will be Sabbath attire. Those who are coming from out-of-town will need to make housing arrangements on their own.
Regional Pastors: please let your areas know to pay (register) by the 22nd as we need to send in our numbers on the 23rd for the dinner.
